New Delhi: A 2005 batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, Dr. Sumit Seth, has been concurrently accredited as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Costa Rica with residence in Panama.
About Dr. Sumit Seth
Presently Ambassador of India to the Republic of Panama, Dr. Sumit Seth, is a 2005 batch IFS officer. He was earlier posted as Deputy Chief of Mission in the Embassy of India at Yangon in Myanmar. He was also posted at India's Missions in Madrid, Bogota, and UN Geneva. He is a Forensic Medicine expert who has authored a book for medical students named "Review of Forensic Medicine".
In a very short statement, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said, "Dr. Sumit Seth (IFS:2005), presently Ambassador of India to the Republic of Panama, has been concurrently accredited as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Costa Rica with residence in Panama."
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) further said that he is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
