New Delhi: Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on December 26.

Both leaders reviewed progress in bilateral Strategic Partnership in follow-up to State visit of the Crown Prince to India in September 2023.

They also discussed the forward-looking bilateral partnership agenda for the future.

PM Narendra Modi and Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman exchanged views on the current situation in West Asia.

They exchanged views on the West Asia situation and shared concerns regarding terrorism, violence and the loss of civilian lives and agreed to work together for peace, security and stability in the region.

Both leaders also shared deep concerns at terrorism, violence and the loss of civilian lives.

Posting on X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote:

"Held a good conversation with my Brother HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the future of Strategic Partnership between India and Saudi Arabia. We exchanged views on the West Asia situation and shared concerns regarding terrorism, violence and the loss of civilian lives. Agreed to work together for peace, security and stability in the region."

Prime Minister Modi reiterated India's long-standing and principled position on the Israel-Palestine issue and called for continued humanitarian aid for the affected population.

The two leaders agreed to work together for peace, security and stability in the region.

They also emphasised the need for maintaining the maritime security and the freedom of navigation.

"Prime Minister Modi conveyed greetings to Saudi Arabia on being selected as host for Expo 2030 and FIFA Football World Cup 2034", Prime Minister's Office (PMO) of India said in its statement on December 26 Both leaders agreed to remain in touch.

The Embassy of India in Saudi Arabia also wrote on X about the telephonic conversation between two leaders in Arabic language.
