The President of the United Republic of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan arrived in New Delhi today. Minister of State (MoS) for Education Annapurna Devi welcomed the President at AFS Palam airport.

Official Spokesperson in the Ministry of External Affairs of India Arindam Bagchi said that the President Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania arrived on a State Visit to India. This is her first visit to India since the assumption of the office of President. She was warmly welcomed by the Minister of State (MoS) for Education Annapurna Devi at the airport.

Taking X, Official Spokesperson in the Ministry of External Affairs of India Arindam Bagchi posted, "President @SuluhuSamia of Tanzania arrives on a State Visit to India. This is her first visit to India since the assumption of the office of President. Warmly welcomed by MoS @EduMinOfIndia @Annapurna4BJP at the airport."


The President of the United Republic of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan will meet External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar at 6:30 pm at ITC Maurya hotel in New Delhi.

On October 9, the Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan will be accorded a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhawan in the morning at 9:00 am and then she will participate in the wreath laying ceremony to be held at the Rajghat at 9:30 am.

On October 6, External Affairs Minister of India Dr. S. Jaishankar met with the Tanzanian Foreign Minister January Makamba and discussed the upcoming state visit of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan to India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a meeting with the Tanzanian President at 11:00 am on October 9 at Hyderabad House in New Delhi and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) will be exchanged between the two countries. After that both counties will issue joint press statements at 12:05 pm.

President Droupadi Murmu will also hold a meeting with the Tanzanian counterpart at the Rashtrapati Bhawan at 6:30 pm in the evening. President Samia will attend an event in New Delhi on October 10 and will leave India on October 11 for her country.
