New Delhi, November 29, 2023: In a significant diplomatic and ceremonial tour, the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, is set to embark on a four-day visit to Maharashtra, reinforcing the importance of education and defense in the country. The visit, commencing on November 29, is scheduled to conclude on December 2.
On the first day of her visit, President Murmu will inaugurate a national conference titled 'Integration of Yoga in School Education System - Manifesting the Thought.' The event is organized by Kaivalyadham as part of its centenary year celebrations and will be held at Lonavala. This initiative reflects the nation's commitment to promoting holistic well-being through the integration of yoga into the school education system.
Later in the evening, President Murmu is scheduled to attend the Presidential Dinner at the prestigious National Defence Academy in Khadakwasla, emphasizing the significance of the armed forces in national development.
The second day of the visit, November 30, will witness the President reviewing the Passing Out Parade of the 145th Course of the National Defence Academy. Additionally, she will lay the foundation stone for a building of the upcoming 5th Battalion, underscoring the commitment to bolstering the country's defense infrastructure.
December 1 will mark a series of significant events for President Murmu. She is slated to present the President's Colour to the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, recognizing their contributions to the nation's healthcare system. In a virtual inauguration ceremony, the President will also launch the Armed Forces Centre for Computational Medicine, 'Prajna,' showcasing India's advancements in medical technology.
Simultaneously, on December 1, President Murmu will inaugurate the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of the Government Medical College in Nagpur, reinforcing the importance of medical education and healthcare in the region.
Concluding her visit on December 2, President Murmu will grace the 111th convocation of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, emphasizing the significance of education and academic excellence in shaping the future of the nation.
