New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 18 expressed deep grief over the tragic loss of lives at the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza.
Mr. Modi yesterday extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for speedy recovery of those injured in hospital attack and said civilian casualties in the ongoing conflict are a matter of serious and continuing concern. He also said that those involved should be held responsible.
On October 18, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had posted on X, "Deeply shocked at the tragic loss of lives at the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza. Our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, and prayers for speedy recovery of those injured. Civilian casualties in the ongoing conflict are a matter of serious and continuing concern. Those involved should be held responsible."
The Prime Minister's Office said in a statement: "The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the tragic loss of lives at the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza. Shri Modi extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for speedy recovery of those injured."
Israel-Palestine conflict enters its 14th day on October 19 in which more than 4,900 people have been killed.
The Palestinian Health Authority said today that a total of 3,540 Palestinians had been killed in the clashes, while more than 13,300 others were injured.
