New Delhi: The 20th round of India-Myanmar Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) was held in New Delhi December 6. 

The Indian delegation was led by Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra while the Myanmar delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister of Myanmar U Lwin Oo.

Both countries held discussions on a wide range of issues covering situation along the border and security, trade, commerce and connectivity, status of bilateral development projects in Myanmar and concerns related to transnational crimes. 

Spokesperson in Ministry of External Affairs (M.E.A.) of India, Arindam Bagchi said that the 20th India-Myanmar FOC was held in New Delhi today and it was co-chaired by Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra and Deputy Foreign Minister U Lwin Oo of Myanmar. 

Mr. Bagchi further said that both sides from India and Myanmar reviewed all aspects of bilateral relations including security situation and border management, transnational crimes, people-centric development projects and trade and economic cooperation.

Posting on X, Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi wrote: 

"20th 🇮🇳-🇲🇲 FOC held in New Delhi today. Co-chaired by Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra & Deputy FM U Lwin Oo of Myanmar. Both sides reviewed all aspects of bilateral relations including security situation and border management, transnational crimes, people-centric development projects and trade and economic cooperation."

The Indian side reiterated its support to Myanmar for its transition towards a federal democracy, MEA said in the statement on December 6.

The Indian side expressed India's continued support to people-centric socio-economic developmental projects, including connectivity projects and projects under Rakhine State Development Programme and Border Area Development Programme for the benefit of the people of Myanmar, MEA said.
