New Delhi: External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr. S. Jaishankar will visit Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, October on 25-26.
EAM will lead the Indian delegation for the 22nd meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of Government (CHG), to be held under the Chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The country in Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan) is hosting the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of Government (CHG) meeting.
During the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of Government (CHG) meeting, EAM Jaishankar will also meet with his counterparts from other SCO Member States and call on the country's top leadership in Bishkek.
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of India in its statement said that External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr. S. Jaishankar will visit Bishkek on 25-26 October 2023 to lead the Indian delegation for 22nd meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of Government (CHG), to be held under the Chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In Bishkek, EAM will also meet with his counterparts from other SCO Member States and call on the country’s top leadership, MEA further said in its statement.
Shanghai Cooperation Organization Secretariat said: "On 22 October, the Council of National Coordinators of the SCO member states started its work in Bishkek under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan."
The agenda of the event is devoted to preparations for the next meeting of the Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) Council of the SCO member states to be held on 26 October 2023 in Bishkek under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz side. The agenda will also focus on the Organisation's current activities, Shanghai Cooperation Organization Secretariat also said.
